SOLAH began in 2025, sparked by a pilot networking event for sustainability professionals on Lombok.\u00a0 The gathering highlighted both the opportunities and challenges of the island\u2019s rapid tourism growth\u2014alongside a clear problem: efforts were fragmented, and knowledge wasn\u2019t easily accessible. Rather than standing on the side lines, the group created a platform where anyone could contribute, share solutions, and embrace the shared responsibility of caring for Lombok and its people. What started with just a handful of members has grown into a vibrant island-wide network, with thematic groups tackling everything from permaculture to cultural preservation.<\/p>
